The AI4STEM IoT Kit, part of the third work package (WP3), enables students to learn about IoT and AI through hands-on experience with a series of devices that they can build with their teachers' help. The Kit simplifies the learning process of a complex subject by breaking it down into manageable steps and follows the Five Big Ideas in AI concept. The kit includes necessary hardware for AI lessons such as physical computing, I2C interfaces, and programming concepts, providing students with the opportunity to perform their own experiments, build DIY devices, and create programs in a simple coding language like Python. Teachers will assemble the IoT Kit with their students to engage and introduce them to all the components, sensors, and peripherals. The IoT Kit provides infrastructure for both in-person and distance learning, supporting a dynamic educational process. The combination of physical computing and programming with hardware and software strengthens teachers' capacity to use technologically advanced objects in teaching and ensures the validation of WP objectives.
